An important update regarding Donisthorpe Hall

Donisthorpe Hall is a wonderful facility with dedicated staff which holds a special place in the heart of the Jewish community in Leeds. Regrettably, however, the home has faced some challenges in recent months. The Board of Trustees has therefore taken decisive action and approved a plan to secure Donisthorpe’s future and to restore it to the excellent standards of care that it has previously delivered. I am pleased to let you know that, in order to achieve these objectives, we have appointed a new and experienced care home management team – BAM Healthcare – who will work with existing staff, trustees and volunteers to implement a robust plan of action.
We are all united in our commitment to improving the quality of care at Donisthorpe Hall, whilst maintaining its Jewish identity. The plan, which has the support of the Local Authority, seeks to preserve the centrality of Donisthorpe’s Jewish ethos, enhance the already strong links with the local community and improve care for our residents.
The safety and wellbeing of residents is, and will remain, our absolute priority and we will be doing everything we can in the coming months to minimise disruption and ensure they feel secure in the future of their care.
We look forward to keeping everyone updated with our progress as we work to restore Donisthorpe Hall as a thriving care home.
