Despite a record number of entries, Donisthorpe Hall has been shortlisted for the “Improving Care with Technology” category of the Health Service Journal (HSJ) awards. Donisthorpe Hall is privileged to be one of the
West Yorkshire Care Homes that has been piloting The Phoenix Partnership’s (TPP) new SystmOne Care Homes Module. The scheme allows care homes to deliver safer, more personalised and coordinated care through the sharing of electronic medical records with GP’s and other urgent care providers. Staff are able to also add to these records, and even make medication requests which provides a very efficient and fast communication channel between local health providers and care staff. Ultimately this allows for better continuity of care for our residents, who are the main beneficiaries of the new scheme.
Donisthorpe Hall will have to deliver a presentation to a judging panel of influential figures from the healthcare sector. After seeing presentations from the other shortlisted organisations, this panel will decide who is the most deserving of the award. The awards will be presented on 19 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
