Donisthorpe Hall Appoints a New Chief Operating Officer

The Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that Jo Crossland has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Jo has worked as a Registered Nurse for 24 years. She has worked with people living with dementia in a variety of care settings within both NHS and independent sector organizations. Jo has a BSc (hons) in Dementia Studies, an MSc in Dementia Studies, a Post Graduate certificate in Business Administration and is an international Dementia Care Mapping Trainer.

Jo left the NHS in 2009, to work as a Practice Development Consultant and Trainer with Bradford Dementia Group at the University of Bradford where she worked with a variety of care provider organisations to develop their dementia services.

Jo was also involved in the delivery of training with Care Inspectorate Organisations in the UK and overseas.

Jo has been providing the “ Developing person-centred dementia care” programme on behalf of Bradford University over the past year and is familiar with Donisthorpe.

Jo is delighted to be starting 2015 as Chief Operating Officer at Donisthorpe Hall. “ I think that Donisthorpe is a wonderful home and I am thrilled to be joining an organisation with a clear focus to provide quality care & services for the community”.
