Alexandra Myers (Fundraising Co-ordinator)
I got involved in Donisthorpe Hall on a volunteering basis firstly. At the time I was only working Monday – Thursday so when I was asked I was able to help with the flower arranging activity on a Friday afternoon. After being made redundant I ended up helping out with a fundraising dinner and following on from that I was approached to join Donisthorpe Hall on a permanent basis as Fundraising & Marketing Co-ordinator. My main role is to raise funds for the Home; whether this is by organising fundraising events or alternatively by contacting individuals or companies to support us.
I have worked most of my adult life; this position gives me the most satisfaction by far; knowing that through my work it is the residents and the Home who benefit.

We have a number of volunteers who help us with various fundraisers. For more information on how you can get involved with volunteering at Donisthorpe please click here.
Our stalwart fundraiser Regina Waldman, who hosts a BBQ at Donisthorpe each year has been fundraising for us for 53 years!
We also have our very own fundraising committee which meets on a regular basis to discuss upcoming events and fundraising ideas.
