Moving in to Donisthorpe Hall
We understand that for some individuals moving into a Care Home can be a difficult and stressful time. Therefore here at Donisthorpe we do everything we can to make this move as smooth and easy as possible.
Your first point of contact will be our admissions team who will guide you through the application and admission process.
When you arrive at the Home you will be greeted by our friendly receptionists who will show you to your relevant unit where you will meet the care staff who will be on hand to provide assistance as and when required.
At Donisthorpe we strive to provide an environment where each resident is treated as an individual. Independence is encouraged as much as possible but help is always on hand when needed.
Home, and much more
At Donisthorpe Hall, our emphasis is always on encouraging our residents to live the most active and engaged life they can. We make sure we really understand the individuality of each person – their personality and temperament, their likes and dislikes – to see the whole person, not just their limitations. Then we support them in reaching the fullest and happiest life they can through a wide range of care home facilities, activities and support.
The Hub of the Home
Our unique reception
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it is that makes our Reception an area that residents return to again and again. Maybe it’s the relaxing atmosphere, constant flow of friendly faces and the fabulous décor.
Comfy chairs and a view of the outdoors together with a great atmosphere make the reception the hub of the home and a space where residents can come to chat to friends, meet relatives or simply read and relax.
We are also fortunate to have a coffee shop open daily from 10am to 12pm and 2pm – 5pm where residents and visitors may get a drink and a selection of hot and cold snacks, see our delicious menu for details. Beverages are free for residents.
Within the coffee shop is an area well stocked with confectionery and toiletries where residents can purchase those little essentials.
