Donisthorpe Hall is one of the best residential care homes in the North of England: it is the only independent home of its kind to achieve the coveted Health Quality Service (HQS) accreditation and we have also been granted the Hospitality Assured standard for service and business excellence.
While we are proud to retain our distinct identity as primarily a home for elderly members of the Jewish community, we also welcome non-Jewish residents who wish to live in an orthodox Jewish environment.
Our policy of continual improvement and modernisation embraces developments in technology and care facilities. Thus, most of our 162 bedrooms are en-suite with their own fridges and televisions and, before long, we expect that all our rooms will meet this standard. These standards extend to the surrounding gardens, where we are committed to maintaining the home's relaxing and homely environment.
Respect for our residents is one of our hallmarks. We aim to provide personal, emotional and social support in a way that meets the cultural and spiritual needs of both residents and their relatives and friends. Also, there are regular meetings between managers, residents and their relatives to discuss services provided by the home.
Most importantly, we endeavour to be as flexible as possible so as to meet individual requirements, particularly in regard to finance. We have an expert team that can discuss these matters in private so that satisfactory arrangements can be agreed.
