Donisthorpe's Philosophy

Where Kindness and Care Comes First

  • We believe in creating a homely, safe environment in which we are continually reassessing our standards of care and services, methods for delivering that care and services, then evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Protecting the resident’s Human Rights and promoting well-being is paramount. Person Centred care that also promotes professional Relationships will be provided in an atmosphere of respect and dignity, ensuring that at all times we offer the residents, choice, personal, emotional and social support in an environment that meets their cultural and spiritual needs, including relatives and other customers, and safeguard the residents from any form of abuse, supported by Dignity champions and End of Life champions.
  • We will actively encourage all residents to attain their maximum potential within the confines of their general physical and mental condition, not forgetting the individual and special needs of disabled and terminally ill residents.
  • We will endeavour to work as a cohesive team, which includes residents, relatives, visitors, customers and staff.
